Recent discussion about PhD

近来，PhD获得academic工作的困难在不断增加，这引发人们对批量或者海量培养PhD的重新思考。

个人认为PhD是一种思考和技能训练的过程，将来不论从事什么行业的工作，都是相通的。不能认为PhD不能找到学术类工作就认为不应该继续培养那么多。

同时，培养的过程还应该保持高标准，严要求。不能因为他/她将来不准备从事学术类工作而降低要求，因为这是一种培养过程，有它自己的培养标准。否则一旦对一批人降低标准，这样的后果就真的是把PhD的总体质量'稀释'了。因为所有毕业的人都是PhD，并无明显区分，除非你花精力去验证。这就有点提高社会成本了。

所以，PhD就应该有PhD的样子，拿出来刚刚的，不给人怀疑和质疑的余地！这是根本！
