目前的大环境下，确实有很多博士的目的不是在完成学业后继续学术研究。相应的许多高校也改变了他们的培养策略。比如UNSW，审查毕业论文的专家人数由原来的3名降为2名，培养时间越来越倾向于3～3.5年，这所有的目的就是多快好省的产出博士（因为每名毕业博士从政府获得的利润是一定的，越快成本越低）。

其实这在很多国家已经是现实，今天听挪威一教授报告，他们超过50%的博士都进入工业界。我想，这也应该是值得借鉴的。她提到，这样能使工业界更好的理解研究是怎么回事，加大资金支持！
